
DMCE is majority owned by Intel Mobile Communications Engineering. Intel, the US chipmaker, has taken over the wireless chip business of Infineon Technolgies by February 1st 2011. The core competence of DMCE is the development of highly complex RF transceivers for mobile phone applications, including cellular embedded devices, cellular mobile PCs, tablets and dongles.

The history of DMCE:
2011– February
Foundation of Danube Mobile Communications Engineering GmbH & Co KG (DMCE). The major part of DICE dedicated to wireless solutions has been spinned off to DMCE, majority owned by Intel Mobile Communications.
DICE still covers the development areas of radar sensors of automotive applications and discrete circuits for industrial and multimarket applications.
2007 – January
Start of R&D for integrated radar sensors for automotive applications in cooperation with Christian Doppler Laboratory for Integrated Radar Sensors.
2000 – January
Infineon Technologies AG joins DICE GmbH & Co KG. DICE becomes a Research & Development Center of Infineon Technologies Austria AG.
1999 – August
Foundation of DICE – Danube Integrated Circuit Engineering GmbH & Co KG. Expertise: Development of Integrated Circuits, focusing wireless design.
1998 – October
Foundation of Research Institute for Integrated Circuits (RIIC) (Prof. Hagelauer). Start of cooperation with numerous industrial partners in the area of chip design.
1996 – September
Foundation of Institute for Communications and Information Engineering at the Johannes Kepler University of Linz (Prof. Weigel).
1993 – July
